Introduction
HomeBit, Inc. ("HomeBit," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account Information: Phone number, email address, and profile information
- Home Information: Property details, utility bills, repair receipts, maintenance records, and home improvement documentation
- Communication Data: Messages, support requests, and feedback you provide
- Payment Information: When applicable, billing details and transaction history. For HomeBit Plus subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, payment is processed by Apple or Google; HomeBit does not receive your full payment-card details, only transaction identifiers and entitlement state via our subscription orchestration provider, Adapty (Adapty Privacy Policy). For HomeBit Hero, payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Privacy Policy); HomeBit receives the brand, last four digits, and expiration of the card and a Stripe customer/subscription identifier — not the full card number.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
- Usage Data: How you interact with our Services, features you use, time spent, click patterns
- Location Information: With your permission, precise or approximate geolocation data
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, pages viewed, and referring URLs
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: Data collected through cookies, web beacons, and local storage
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from third parties, including:
- Utility providers (with your authorization)
- Contractor and service provider partners
- Analytics providers
- Social media platforms (if you choose to connect)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
- Process and complete transactions
- Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
- Communicate with you about products, services, offers, and events
- Personalize and improve your experience, including delivering relevant content and advertisements
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and illegal activities

3. Advertising and Marketing
3.1 Our Advertising Practices
HomeBit uses your information to deliver personalized advertisements and promotional content within our app and through other channels. This helps us provide you with relevant offers for home services, products, and improvements that may benefit you as a homeowner.
3.2 Types of Advertising
We may show you:
- Advertisements for home improvement products and services
- Promotional offers from contractors and home service providers
- Utility and energy-saving product recommendations
- Home insurance and warranty offers
- Other products and services we believe may be relevant to you
3.3 Advertising Technology
We may use advertising technology partners to help deliver relevant ads. These partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites and apps.
3.4 Your Advertising Choices
You can opt out of personalized advertising by:
- Adjusting your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads)
- Using industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's AppChoices app
- Contacting us at privacy@homebit.com
Please note that even if you opt out of personalized advertising, you will still see advertisements, but they may be less relevant to you.
3.5 App Tracking Transparency (Apple Devices)
On Apple devices, HomeBit shares certain identifiers (such as your device's Identifier for Advertisers, or "IDFA") with our advertising and attribution partners so that ads you see in HomeBit and elsewhere can be measured and tailored across other companies' apps and websites. Before we do this, iOS will ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Categories of partners we share identifiers with for cross-app tracking include: large advertising platforms (e.g., Meta, Google), mobile measurement / attribution providers (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer, or Branch), and supply-side ad networks (e.g., AppLovin). The specific partners may change; the up-to-date list is reflected in our App Privacy disclosures on the App Store. If you decline tracking, we will not link these identifiers to you for cross-app advertising, but we may still measure aggregate, non-personalized ad performance.
On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID at Settings > Privacy > Ads. Deleting your advertising ID will limit personalized advertising in the same way.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
HomeBit does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. We value your trust and are committed to keeping your data within our ecosystem.

We will notify you via email and/or prominent notice within the app of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.

4.5 With Your Consent

Several U.S. states grant residents specific rights with respect to their personal information. The subsections below describe those rights and how to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right described in this Section 8.
8.1 California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the rights described below under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

We do, however, "share" certain identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in §3 (Advertising and Marketing) and §3.5 (App Tracking Transparency). You may opt out by adjusting your device settings as described in §3.4 and §3.5 or by contacting us at privacy@homebit.com.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger the right to limit under the CPRA.
- Shine the Light. California Civil Code §1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your consent.

If you are a resident of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Delaware, Iowa, Indiana, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, or Rhode Island, you generally have rights similar to those described in §8.2 above, including rights of access, correction (where applicable), deletion, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. Specific notes by state:
- Colorado & Connecticut: we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognized universal opt-out mechanisms for opt-outs of sale and targeted advertising.
- Connecticut: for users known to be aged 13–16, we will not sell personal data or process it for targeted advertising without opt-in consent.
- Utah: the UCPA does not provide a right to appeal a denied request; if denied, you may contact the Utah Division of Consumer Protection.
- Other states: if your state grants similar rights, contact us as described in §8.5 and we will honor your request as required by applicable law.
8.4 Authorized Agents
Where permitted by law, you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written authorization from you and may verify your identity directly before fulfilling the request.

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
